Employers throughout the legal profession have expressed their support for greater diversity and inclusion. That intent has included avowals of a desire to include people with disabilities. Still, disaggregated data about diversity in the legal profession persistently reveals an infinitesimal number of people with disabilities. Granted, not all disabilities are visible. And not everyone chooses to disclose a disability to an employer. But given the number of people in the general population who are estimated to have disabilities, might the miniscule numbers also reflect biases against people with disabilities coupled with barriers to the inclusion of people with disabilities that people with little or no familiarity with different kinds of disabilities do not recognize or anticipate? For those individuals and employers who recognize the potential talent pool they are missing by not better including those with disabilities and those who genuinely desire to include disabilities in their inclusion efforts, this program is for you!
